Mindgarden classics
So memories are one of my favorite things. Its easy to see why old people like to get so nostalgic. Alot of times it's hard to convey to someone else just what is so magic about a memory you have. I think all kinds of art does this in some way. Give someone the feeling of your memory without being quite so literal about it. Deep hunh? Not really, and maybe a whole other post all together. But in an attempt to be selfishly self absorbed in a good memory, and share it with you- here I go. And feel free to add something you remember if it makes you feel good. And while I'm being really real- we've all got so many of them, and a bunch of my good memories are with some of you folks IRL- so cheers to that. There was one particularly wildd party my freshmen year of art school and Mace and I wind up at "tha cool spot aka the older kids lofts" and proceed to "get it in". Well as the night progresses we find our selves out on the pavement infront of said lofts, soaking up the night and letting the city of detroit entertain us. Along comes some homeless homie singing some David Bowie ish (!!) and we start to clown and try and bring him into our sidewalk party. Not soon enough do him and Macebone proceed to rap and sing out a latenight rendetion of Mystikals shake it fast, but watch yourself. The real shit is, and why this one is so lasting, is homie and mace captured the feeling of not just the moment, but the whole night so perfect, they had more than just chemistry in their flow they had PURE MAGIC.

Man I gotta say this is also one of my fondest memories. I seem to remember you rolling around the sidewalk laughing. We then attempted to walk across like the entire city of Detroit. That minivan full of art girls almost definitely saved our lives that night. Epic times.
Also this was the night I stood and stared at Josh Dunn DJing for like an hour, I had no idea what he was doing and it totally blew my mind. Life changing.
I think you guys got pretty close to conveying the magic of this memory. I can almost taste it!
Does it taste like 40's????
with a roach on top and that distinct detroit flavor on the side
